Ghost in a Shell First Read

I have watched both the live action movie with Scarlet Johansson and the some of the anime adapt. I have to say the manga was very different than the movie and anime I have seen. Usually both the movie and anime start off with the step to step process of the creation of Major but in this Manga it starts with Major on her usual mission to kill people. I have to admit the first chapter didn't really throw me into the story however seeing another story or perspective of Ghost in a Shell is yet interesting for debatable reasons. If you wanted to compare what versions of this manga is better people will have their own opinion on story line, and making sure it stills adapts the same as the manga.
